I was nearing the end of my 2018 trip to Italy, and the weather was warm. These are shots from another walk around Rome. Romans love a fountain, so that's where I begin.

I was there to walk the famous Appian Way, an ancient Roman road that connected the capital to southern Italy.

A short train ride west of Rome, Ostia Antica is the preserved site of the ancient port of Ostia, which served as the primary port of the imperial capital.

It was the first full day in Rome, the final destination in my 8-week epic trip around Italy, and I was off to the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine and the Palatine Hill.

It was Incredible to walk around this huge site, and just like the mosaics exhibition, a couple of days earlier
