Greetings. This week, I'm sharing photos from the first full day of my 2018 Italy trip. I went to the Museo Archeologico di Nazionale di Napoli for an exhibition of ancient Roman mosaics excavated from the local area—Pompeii, Herculaneum, and maybe other sites.
What struck me was how similar these ancient people were to us. Also, depictions of sea creatures could be found in facsimile at the local fish markets. A few days later, I would take a tour of Pompeii, which reinforced these similarities.
Shots 1,2 and 3 are a 19th-century shopping gallery next to the museum other shots of the museum are included at the beginning and end of the mosaic show.
So next week it will have to be my day trip to Pompeii.
Cheers, Stuee
Whoa! Stomping shots!
