Torino - Fiat Lingotto Plant

Construction completed in the early twenties, this one-time automobile factory is famous for the rooftop test track. Car manufacturing ended here in 1982, and the site was converted into a shopping centre with architectural renovations by Renzo Piano. There is a helipad and an art gallery on the roof. Admission to the gallery (which has several masterpieces) provides access to the famous test track, which has been preserved.
