This week, continuing my 2018 Italy trip with a day trip out of Napoli/Naples to the town of Caserta.
A short train trip northeast of Napoli brings you to the town of Caserta, where the Royal Palace of Caserta is located. It was built for a sub-branch of the House of Bourbon, who ruled the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies (Southern Italy and Sicily) during the 18th and 19th centuries. People may recognise the site from the many films and television series shot there, like "The Great".
Cheers, Stuee
