Malta 2017 - Mdina

Formerly a medieval fortress located in central Malta, perched on a hill giving all-round views of the island, is Mdina. Known as the silent city because vehicle access is restricted to locals only. It was formerly the capital before the Knights of St John moved it to Valletta. Mdina has been a human settlement since Phoenician and Roman times.
